\u00a0UK ME\/CFS Biobank \u2013 Free\u00a0Sample\u00a0Competition<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We are delighted to announce the results of our recent free sample campaign for ME\/CFS research. The campaign offered blood samples and clinical data, donated by people with ME\/CFS and healthy controls, free to researchers with the aim of driving biomedical research into ME\/CFS<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applications were reviewed by a panel including scientists and clinicians outside the CureME team including an early career researcher, and people living with ME\/CFS. Applications were scored individually and then discussed; the studies with the highest average scores were selected to receive samples free of charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We would like to thank all applicants for their thoughtful proposals and the participants whose donations made this campaign possible. This initiative has been a valuable step in supporting ME\/CFS research and fostering collaboration between researchers and the patient community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Second C<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong>ureME Webinar: Building Bridges \u2013 Community Strategies and Research Insights for ME\/CFS Study Participants<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

 Our second webinar featured a guest presentation from Dr. Luis Nacul, who is part of the CureME team and currently based in Vancouver. Dr. Nacul provided an overview of his current work in Canada, including a clinical trial of Naltrexone for ME\/CFS that he is supervising, as well as updates from colleagues and developments in other drug trials. The session was highly interactive, with participants sharing questions and reflections that offered valuable insights for researchers. We are deeply grateful to all who attended and contributed to the discussion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
