R21 Success

In December 2017 we recruited 60 more participants, healthy controls and participants with ME/CFS for our R21 saliva- and urine-based study (funded by the NIH). This study will enable comprehensive assessments of cases of ME/CFS, using saliva and urine samples, at regular monthly intervals for the next six months. This greatly enhances the chances of a breakthrough in the understanding of the pathophysiology of the disease.

With an amazing turnover of over 95% of samples returned in the first month we cannot thank our generous participants enough! The samples are in our lab being carefully analysed and processed.
