Second CureME Webinar: Building Bridges – Community Strategies and Research Insights for ME/CFS Study Participants
Our second webinar featured a guest presentation from Dr. Luis Nacul, who is part of the CureME team and currently based in Vancouver. Dr. Nacul provided an overview of his current work in Canada, including a clinical trial of Naltrexone for ME/CFS that he is supervising, as well as updates from colleagues and developments in other drug trials. The session was highly interactive, with participants sharing questions and reflections that offered valuable insights for researchers. We are deeply grateful to all who attended and contributed to the discussion.
CureME Webinar: Building Bridges – Community Strategies and Research Insights for ME/CFS Study Participants
Our interactive workshop, held in February 2025, included a guest presentation from Dr Jaqueline Cliff (Brunel University) with a layman presentation of Dr Sook’s recent publication “Abnormal T-Cell Activation and Cytotoxic T-Cell Frequency Discriminates Symptom Severity In Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome”. Attendees then had the time share their thoughts on the current state of ME/CFS research, and their most pressing concerns, with the CureME team to help define their future research priorities.
The CureME hybrid event 2024
The CureME team hosted a hybrid event to share and discuss their latest research findings. The results of the ongoing longitudinal study were presented, along with updates on current research projects, such as the investigation of HHV6 in relationship with ME/CFS in collaboration with the laboratory team at Brunel University. Additionally, the team introduced a new partnership with YoungEmerg. The event provided an excellent opportunity for researchers and participants to connect and engage in meaningful discussions.
