Leading research into ME/CFS

Company Name

Farewell to Dio

It is with huge sadness that we have to announce Dio Giotas’s departure from the CureME team. Dio has been part of the team for almost two years, and we know that you will share our sadness as he takes up a new position.

A major part of Dio’s work involves meeting with and clinically examining our wonderful research participants. This aspect of his work has been paused by COVID-19, which means that he has had no face-to-face contact with research participants since February, and we do not know when such contact will resume. Those of you who have met Dio will understand that this is a waste of his excellent clinical skills, and he is moving to a job where he will be able to make proper use of his talent.

We know that you will join us in thanking Dio for all that he has contributed to CureME, and in wishing him every success as he takes on a new challenge. He hopes to maintain close contact with us and to continue to support our work with people with ME/CFS in any way that he can.

Quiet apart from all he has contributed clinically, we will miss his enthusiasm, his empathy and his excellent moussaka!

Thank you, Dio, for all you have contributed to CureME research in the last two years – it is hugely appreciated by the team and by the many participants who have met you.
